Ever since news broke this past weekend that Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana were calling it quits, the two have been seen (out and about), but not heard. That is until now.
On the home page of Al Mana’s website, the page is now all black and features a passage from the Quran that seems to speak to his current circumstances, but ends on a positive note.
“You shall most certainly be tried in your possessions and in your persons; and indeed you shall hear many hurtful things from those to whom revelation was granted before your time, as well as from those who have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside Allah,” the message reads. “But if you remain patient in adversity and conscious of Him – this, behold, is something to set one’s heart upon.”
This message is much different from the one he had, and still has on his site, for Jackson. It reads, “To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever.”
While some sources have said that the split was an amicable one, despite it occurring just three months after the birth of their son, Eissa, there have been reports, particularly from Page Six, that claim Jackson felt Al Mana had become controlling. And an alleged “Jackson family insider” told PEOPLE that their differences were exacerbated by the child’s arrival and their parenting styles.
“They come from very different worlds,” the insider told the publication. “The cultural differences between her and Wissam became even more obvious after the baby was born.”
Jackson hasn’t shared any messages on her own or through any reps, but she has been spotted running errands, including one with her son, since news of the split became public. Moving trucks have been seen at the pair’s home in London, and Al Mana has been spotted bringing toys to the location.
